POSITION OVERVIEW The Process Engineering Officer provides engineering skills and expertise in the area of process systems analysis and design. Participates and coordinates studies of existing mail processing systems or network configuration to identify areas for improvement and to develop cost benefit proposals. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • University degree in Industrial Engineering. • University degree in a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical) meeting experience criteria detailed below • Industrial Engineer: Minimum 2 years experience working in a manufacturing or service industry in an Industrial Engineering / Operational Process Engineering capacity. • Mechanical Engineer: Recent (within last 5 years) experience providing Operational process design / development / improvement services. Minimum 2 years experience working in a manufacturing or service industry in an Industrial Engineering / Operational Process Engineering capacity. Knowledge • project management methods • systems / process design • understanding of Lean principles • data analysis methods • process mapping • engineering economics • database development (MS Access or similar software) Skills and Abilities Skills: • Customer engagement, project scoping / management, critical analysis, systems / process design, creative solutions development. • Computer experience with Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access or similar software.
