Our client, one of the largest employers in the country, has embarked on an ambitious project to upgrade its equipment, plants and processes to become more competitive and to deliver a new value proposition to customers. This process of renewal also involves modernizing the distribution network end to end, and will require significant investment over the next several years.

The Senior Project Leads are responsible for the planning and on-time, on-cost delivery of this project within a defined completion time frame. Key responsibilities include:

§ Integration and prioritization of area plans to meet overall project goals while balancing the unique needs of the specific operating area.

§ Supporting the development of the business case for implementation;

§ Coordination of internal and external resources (partners/suppliers) for the implementation of the transformation; deployment of communication plans

§ Ongoing alignment of functional and operational plans according to transformation schedule and priorities;

§ Responsible for the Project Management Office (PMO) ensuring that proper project management practices, systems and controls are in place to ensure effective delivery and realization of value for the project.

§ Coordination of the project and controlling of the different resources within the PMT;

§ Change management for the responsible geographic area including internal and external stakeholders.

§ Local implementation of the Leadership development plans

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

University degree in Industrial Engineering or other technical fields, operations research, supply chain management.

§ Technical subject matter expert with 15+years of experience in operations, warehousing distribution, program management planning and delivery, plant management, equipment design, change management (integrating operations, managing transition, benefits realization)

Demonstrated track record of continuous progression and success in an operations leadership role where execution to standard is critical.

§ Results-driven disposition and ability to deliver corporate objectives across multiple performance measurement standards

§ Analytical, methodical, structured and dedicated to quality

§ Strong communicator and negotiator with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels of seniority including peer group

§ Proven ability to manage successfully within a high volume, highly demanding environment encompassing complex logistics and large numbers of people, metrics, and stakeholders

§ Confident, natural motivator, people and team-oriented
